You are going to be looking at your wedding photos for the rest of your life, so you want to look picture perfect. Keep in mind that your wedding day is a long event. Hire a Professional
A bridal makeup artist doesn’t cost that much in the big scheme of things. Therefore, if it’s financially conceivable, you should splurge on this expense. Choose a makeup artist who specializes in bridal makeup for the best results. Have a consultation and trial run a few weeks before your wedding. Bring swatches of fabric from your gown, pictures from magazines, and let her/him know how you’ll be wearing your hair. This will allow the makeup artist to have as much information as possible to perfect your look.

Don’t Go Wild
Simple is better in terms to wedding day makeup. Shimmery eye shadow and dark eyeliners just don’t work well in pictures. Instead, go for a more natural look. Stick with pink or true red lipstick. Steer away for lipsticks with orange/yellow tones, they’ll make your teeth look yellow. Don’t overpluck or exaggerate you eyebrows and be sure to wear waterproof mascara.

Be Prepared
Drink plenty of water in the weeks leading up to your wedding day–this will help keep your skin clear. Get a facial about two weeks in advance for the best results. Facial treatments usually cause some redness and irritation, and you don’t want to look like a beet on your wedding day. Stay out of the sun. You don’t want to risk a sunburn or too dark of a tan. If you decide that you need a little glow, bronzer will do the trick. Pack an emergency kit for your wedding day that includes sample sizes of all your makeup products, along with your lipstick for touch-ups.
