Last winter, I went to a wedding where the bride wore black and the bridesmaids wore white. Unconventional? Absolutely. Beautiful? Definitely.

Have you considered wearing black (or another color) for your wedding gown? In recent years more and more brides are breaking tradition and going away from the typical, long white wedding gown. Shorter gowns and colorful gowns are getting some serious attention.
A black wedding gown might make sense for a variety of reasons. First of all, if your wedding is at night, it’s a gorgeous choice. Secondly, if you are trying to look slimmer, it’s much more flattering than white.
The key to wearing a black bridal gown and looking good is to not look too gothic. Your wedding day shouldn’t be dark and depressing, and neither should your look. Wear fresh, light makeup. Pair it with white or silver high heels. Keep your jewelry simple.
What do you think? Would you wear a black wedding gown? Are you up with the latest crazy bridal fashion trends?
