I agree with reducing the guest list to save money, plus it makes the wedding feel a little more intimate by having the people who are most important to you be there.

Hi Sindy – congratulations on your pending wedding, so exciting for you. For your honeymoon, there are so many great places to stay in Cape Town. If you want to be in one of the bigger hotels, you will love Cape Grace or Table Bay Hotel in the Waterfront, if you want one of the smaller more boutiquey properties you will love Cape Cadogan, 12 Apostles, Tintswalo Atlantic, Four Rosmead, Kensington Place or Abbey Manor. You must make sure that you do a Peninsula Tour taking you to Cape Point and have lunch at Harbour House, has some of the best views of the ocean, also a Winelands Tour to Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. I totally agree… Sometimes those crazy ball gowns just end up dirty, tattered, and restricting your evening as a bride. I kind of wish I opted for a shorter dress.

I don’t know how to add a picture (so I’ll just show you the link), but check out this brides dress. It’s the best of both worlds, sort of classic, but also trendy and cut off above the knee.
